  1. no its not really necessary

  2. lost is rite bout one thing,,no need for sealer,,,just clean the floor real  good,,,but i always glue the entire floor  ,,using 1/16  trowel,   ,loose   laid  vinyl   is easy to tear,,when moving objects around on it,,,  applying   latex adhesive,, it will be easier to remove years later,,,

  3. The Dr and Steve are right..But check the notch size w/ the vinyl and glue your using ,1/16 is the most common but its better to check it out..Use the flat side of the trowel to "fill" all the cement area.. This way you ll get a complete bond  Then go over the area  w/ proper size trowel. Doing a section at a time as you lay your pre cut vinyl into the glue, Wash floor several times to get all the dirt off allowing to dry completely before installing vinyl  Gl

  4. No, just lay it on the concrete but remember that the lino will need to be replaced at some future time so dont glue anything but the edges. If you are using squares then lay them down and fight them back up when the time comes. good luck!

  5. no need to seal the concrete, tho if theres any sign of moisture you need to address that problem first.

dont just glue the edges -

if you do this and the vinyl tried to grow and shrink with tempreture changes, you will get bubbles as the vinyl cant move around the egdes and will just push up.

gluing the entire floor is best, but there are some really good loose lay vinyls on the market now.

  6. Yes you need to screed the floor, you can buy cement leveller you just mix with water, (follow Inst) and pour over floor this will level your floor and fill in any cracks etc.and will make the floor smooth for laying vinyl.
