  1. Shower and Lotion after you swim.

Chlorine pools are far more harsh for your skin than salt pools.

I would almost say if you swim a lot dry skin is almost inevitable but moisturizers for your skin and and conditioner. I have seen some specialty lotion and shampoo that are supposedly reduces the damages of chlorine better than others (spectro) however have never really seen noticeable results and they did not smell very nice (at least the ones I used).

I really like the lotion with oat

  2. Yeah, you need to apply cream/lotion!It's important it helps your skin.

  3. any lotion will help your dry skin. make sure you but it on after because before it will just come off in the water. the reason for your skin being dry is because of the chemical's in the pool.

    i hope this help.

  4. Before you swim do not apply any lotion, but make sure you wet your skin in the shower room. This helps your skin absorb some of the fresh water, so it doesn't absorb as much chlorinated water.

After swimming, make sure to shower with soap and shampoo. If your skin feels dry, apply some generic body moisturizer. I personally use Gerber Baby Lotion, as I find it does the job well.

Your kids can theoretically start at any age, but I would advise not to start any younger than 12 months. If the baby is younger than 1 year, it runs a higher chance of water inhalation.

  5. Suggest that you use a sunblock lotion (if you are swimming in an outdoor swimming pool) to protect yourself from the harmful rays of the sun that damages one's skin.

If you are swimming indoors, I would advise to clean your body thoroughly with shampoo/conditioner for hair and soap for body and after shower a good lotion and moisturiser for the face/neck; any lotion will do (but personally I use Aveeno..).

Babies can learn how to swim at age 2-3 yrs old, since they are fearless (i mean not scared of water, yet).

  6. I have been swimming all my life for swim teams. I would highly suggest that before you swim thats up to you but AFTER swim as soon as possible you should take a shower and scrub your hair and body very well. The chemicals in the pool will destroy your hair also after swimming you will have dry skin. After the shower  that is when you should apply lotion.
