Before this new yahoo my portfolio showed the plain English name, like Nasdaq and DJIA.?

Now only the ticker symbols appear. I have tried to customize the page, but no luck.

I have the same issue and was unable to resolve it.  The only work-around I found was to add the "Market Summary" module.

Personalize this page >> Add Modules >> Money >> Stocks & Investing >> Market Summary

However, I don't care for that option because:

  1 -- It's not customizable.

  2 -- Only Dow, Nasdaq and S&P 500 indexes are shown.

  3 -- Too much extra Content in the module.

Not really an answer, but it might save you banging your head against the monitor repeatedly.
