I have been golfing for about 3 weeks. I have only been to the driving range about 5 times, I had one lesson the first time. I am going to keep getting lessons but was just wondering, how far should I be hitting my irons? I cannot hit many of them past the 133 marker. I am 15 years old, and have callaway tour irons 3-pw...

  1. I'm a beginner too.  Keep taking more lessons.  Don't worry about only hitting it 133'.  The real question is, are you hitting them straight?  If they're straight, don't sweat it, you're doing good.  More lessons and more practice.

  2. Distance is based on the quality of your ball striking......Age has no bearing whatsoever.  Continueing the lessons would be a good thing

  3. not bad. I am able to hit my 9 iron around 220 so everyone is different and I am 11.

  4. Joba hits his 8 iron 200 yards......PFFFFFT!!!! LOL

  5. well not everybody is going to hit the same distance.  i am 15 and can hit my 8 iron 200 yards but my 15 year old friend can only hit a 8 iron 90 yards.  So everybody hits differently.  Eventually you will be able to hit longer don't worry about it you just started.  For a beginner your doing very well though.
