Beginner Golfing in Phoenix?

Does anyone know of a good golf course for a beginner in the greater Phoenix area?

There's a public golf course located on N. Miller Rd in Scottsdale [phone] that is great to duff around on. But why get bad habits ingrained, it's kind of like skiing, taking a lesson is the best way to go.
