Beginner Q about types of guitar?

Question

Can somone PLEASE explain the different types of guitar and whta styles of music are usually played with them?

A classical guitar is fingerpicked and used to play classical music/folk music right? well ive seen videos of bands strumming on a classical guitar with a pick. And what about those guitars with one corner kind of cut out? They are acoustic right? Then what is the difference between those and regular acoustic guitars? And then there are electric guitars that look like acoustics and it's all VERY confusing.

Classical Guitar = for classical music and acoustics songs

Electric guitar = can also be used for classical music and acoustic songs as well as rock blues jazz and all the other genres
