Beginner Wake boarder?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I just recently started wake boarding...

I CAN NOT GET UP!!!! I try and try and try and try but i can't yet lol.

So far I understand that you keep crouched in until you're up, you turn the board as soon as you feel the boat pulling you, and you keep the tip out of the water.

What am I missing?!?!?!??!??

PLEASE HELP!!!

  1. you seem to know how to get up just doing it is a problem. I been thinking about this and have decided that a lot odf people dont realize that you havce to keep your body locked into position. you dont want to give in and go forward with your body but you dont want to lean back and pull against the boat like you would on a slalom ski. get into position and be firm. dont let the boat pull you over. speed out of the hole isnt really necessary because you have to work harder, not smarter.

  2. Make sure you keep your arms straight and DO NOT TRY AND PULL YOURSELF UP!  This is because you won't be able to and it will hurt your arms.  So let the boat pull you up and hang on.

  3. ok well first things first you need to be in the water like you are sitting in a chair with your board parallel to the boat. most of your board should be out of the water. when you feel the boat pulling you and the rope gets tight push in with your heels and keep the board's edge out of the water, if the edge goes in the water you will faceplant. when your getting up you want the boat to pull you so dont pull your arms in. when your on top of the water turn your board and then lean back so the tip of the board closest to the boat doesnt go in the water and you do a faceplant. Oh and make sure the boat is going about 21 when you are up. Hope that helped! Good luck, it took me a while to learn but it is soo worth the wait!

  4. dont crouch keep your legs straight

  5. it might not be you it might be the driver, it will probably help to tell the driver to go faster at the get-go because of more pressure that will lift you up make it easier to turn into position

"trust me when i started i had the same problem"
