I have been riding my dirt bike for about 6 years, it is an early 80s yamaha 250, pretty heavy dirt bike. I decided I want to get a motorcycle, but don't know a good one to get. I am a 25 year old male, 5'8" 165 lbs. I want to get a 1983 - 1985 honda magna. Here is a link to what it looks like, this is not the exact bike I want to buy, just an example.http://www.acdlady.com/V65firstdayhome8.31.04Small.jpg Does that look like a good beginner bike.

  1. I've heard good things about those bikes.

  2. There isn't such thing as a good "beginner" street bike. It just depends on what you can handle up to this point and what you find to be the most comfortable to ride on. I think that you should try that honda if you like it, but try to broaden your horizons. For example, figure out a few bikes that you would like to ride and get the one which has the most benefits for you. This could mean the price or rideability or color etc.

  3. Sure, you can always trade up once you get used to street riding.

  4. that other answerer dont know ****!

a V65 is not something you trade in!

    god!

v65 magnas and v65 sabres are as cool as you can get... they were the fastest production bike of the time... one of the years anyway.

but they are light, have easy controls, are balanced, i LOVE em. I would never tell someone not to buy one.
