  1. I would look at the Honda CRF150 or CRF230. They are both excellent bikes for a beginning rider. Easy to maintain with plenty of aftermarket support, should you decide to upgrade the motorcycle in the future. The 250's and 450's are designed as competion bikes and are not suited for a beginner. If you take the time to learn on the forgiving CRF's you can hone your skill to move up to the big bore bikes. I would also consider talking to parents and have them take you to a local dealer and see which one fits you best. They have different heights, seat positions, etc. Plus, you can try-on the proper safety gear while you are there. Welcome to world of motorcycling bud! Have fun!

  2. If you plan on riding trails mostly on a bike that won't break down much at all but has less performance (like smaller shocks and less power) then go with a 4 stroke.

as for the size, DONT get a  2 stroke 125 yet, you aren't big enough for that yet (unless you are going to race in competition). and dont get a CRF150F because it has a horrible power to weight ratio (and it weighs like 220)

Your best bet if you plan on going reliable would be a bike like a ttr125, but your best bet ( I would recommend) would be a 2 stroke 85; they're just a better bike and worth the maintenance, in the end it will be more fun to ride since you can jump and go fast.

But I guess if your just cruising around for fun youd probably want a simple ttr125.
