Ok I want to start running to get in shape. But I get tired really easy. So I want to know how much I should start off running...or how long.

  1. Start out with a mile a day. Build up slowly. Make sure you drink a lot of fluids. Over time you will get tired less easily.

  2. the best thing you could do is start off with around half a mile a day and work your way up. adding .3 -.5 miles ever day once you get used to running half of a mile. and good luck running is super fun!

  3. start with a mile and just build up over time.  If you get sore still run that day because you have to work the lactic acid out of your system.  Get stretches off www.runnersworld.com

    Good Luck

  4. I have been just where you are.

    Running is a great excercise.

Start with running a measured mile and walking the part you can't finish. (i.e. walk back when you get exhausted).

When you are comfortable running that mile (may take a long time), extend it a little at a time to a landmark or point and make that your new target  to at least reach or beat.

Sometimes you can genuinely feel tired and run your best...

Start small and increase it and don't give up!

  5. start with sprints to work your heart.run very fast for as long as you can. drink alot of water and you might also want to work on building your muscles in your legs.
