  1. Do you agree with PETA?

  2. I've been a vegetarian for about six years, and i'm gald to hear that you've started!  It's really all up to you what you want to eat.  Since i consider fish to be meat, i don't eat any seafood.  If you were a vegan (no dairy products) then ice cream would be out of the question.  But since you're a vegetarian, ice cream is ok!  There are no specific rules or anything...you can make what you want out of it.  Good Luck!

  3. Most important is to make sure you are meeting your nutritional needs. You are animal too, make sure you get what you need. It is possible with a vegitarian diet, but you need to research it.

  4. Well, I am a vegan myself. I wouldn't eat any meat or any animal product.

As for a vegetarian eating ice cream: I think some do. You can buy non-dairy Ice Cream though.

  5. Here's a quick starter guide for going veg:

Take it one step at a time, cut meat out as you feel comfortable doing it. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, all at once.

A good book on vegetarianism will give you all the info you need on nutrition, and ideas for well balanced meals.

  6. you can only eat fish if you're a pescatarian (spelling?). and you can eat ice cream, unless your vegan.

  7. I think Fish is meat..

If you are Vegan, You cant have ice cream since it came from an animal.

  8. Theres different types of vegetarians.

Pescetarians eat no meat, but will still eat fish.

Lacto-ovo vegetarians do not eat any meat, but will still eat dairy products and eggs.

It all depends really on how you feel on the subject. Do some research on the different types and choose which best fits your beliefs.

  9. Vegetarians dont eat fish. so no.

You can drink dairy if you are a vegetarian but not if you're vegan. vegans dont eat ANYTHING produced by animals...honey, dairy, eggs. but since you aren't a vegan you can eat dairy

  10. You need to define your diet based on what makes you feel content.  There are those who do not eat fish, eggs, milk, cheese or ice cream.  Some people extend this to no leather products either such as shoes or purses and only makeup without animal products.  Highly restrictive diets are fine for some, but make it easy for others to fall off the wagon.

I have led a eating choice which eliminated all those group, but found I enjoyed eggs, milk, cheese and ice cream and added those to my diet.  I may eat chicken once a week and fish once a month.  That is because I choose to, but I also choose not to eat pork, lamb or beef and don't miss eating them.  Haven't for the last 25 years.

You must adapt a diet that appeals to you if it is something you will stick with.  Remember that while you may want to do something for all those suffering animals, make sure you don't suffer in the big picture.  Good Luck!

  11. Since it seems you stopped eating meat because of the "suffering animals", I think the question should be if Ice Cream and Fish will cause animal suffering.  If you are doing it to be able to call yourself a "Vegetarian" or a "Vegan" or whatever, then I suppose you would have to ask the question.  Lacto-Vegetarians don't eat meat but do eat dairy.  Ovo-Vegetarians eat egg producs.  Lacto/Ovo eat both.  An actual vegetarian eats neither.  Fish is considered a meat.

  12. Sweetie if you eat fish your a pescatarian not a vegetarian.

Vegetarians can eat ice cream that would make you a lacto vegetarian.

    lacto vegetarians eat dairy products

    ovo vegetarians eat eggs

lacto-ovo vegetarians eat both eggs and dairy.

Vegans are the people who eat no animal products.

  13. Vegetarians do not eat fish.

    Fish are animals.

    Vegetarians do not eat animals.

Here is a small list of veg food.

    http://michaelbluejay.com/veg/eat.html

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentil, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12.

    http://www.pcrm.org/health/veginfo

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended.

It may help you if you see proof that vegetarians have the same potential as anyone else.
