Question:

Beginner womens snowboards? Which brands do you recommend?

I've just started snowboarding, have small feet and am only 5'4". I ve researched I should get something shorter, lighter, more flexible so its beginner-friendly. Which means the park/free-style type boards, right?

I'm looking at:

Forum Craft

K2 Skyla (and Luna)

Burton Lux

Roxy Ally MTX

Trying to buy used, of course. I know the width is really important so I want a narrow waist as I have barely size 7 shoes.

Are there huge differences in these boards? I'm looking at 147 length. The Forum Craft has the narrowest waist at 22.8

Any recommendations or opinions on these?? I need something forgiving for a beginner to learn turns, etc

  1. Hey,

I would go with the lux,

That is a very good board.

    All My girlfriends ride it.

Also look for a Rome SDS board.

    Those are good also....

    The best are   1) Burton

                             2) Rome SDS

                             3) Forum

    K2 Sucks.

    Don't get it.

  2. Check out the Santa Cruz Muse.  Won a Good Wood award every year it has been out.  It's hard to find, but well worth it.
