Beginning Dancer?

Hi! :D

I've never taken any dance classes before and I think I'd like to start. I want to act and perform so I think dancing might come in handy. I'm 14 so I hope it's not too old to start, because I don't want this to be a whole career of dancing. Any recommendations on dance schools, classes, etc. in Southern California?

Me and U have this in common! I am 14, and i want to take dance classes as well! along with acting and singing!

Your not to old. I DO want to dance as a career and I didn't start until I was 13.

Thats cool that you want to learn to dance! I have been dancing for 5 years, (since i was 8) and starting later than everyone else hasn't realy been that hard, so don't worry about starting late, there are plenty of beginning dance classes for people your age. I dont know about dance schools in your area, but if you want to know a good styl dance to take i would suggest ballet as it is the building blocks for most dance styles. If you do musical theater you might consider tap as well because it has alot of the jazzy moves that i have come across in musicals. Good luck!
