Beginning guitar class question?

So I'm taking guitar classes at college and it says nothing about bringing a guitar into class the first day. The website doesn't have the professor's email so I have no clue how to ask directly. I'm wondering, should I take my guitar to class or should I leave it at home the first day?

Nothing really goes on the first day, I would say keep it home.

Well I have taken that class too, no sometimes you don't need it he/she will not expect everyone to have it the first day, but if you do bring it he/she will give you a few exercises to begin with, and you will have a jump start. : ) so good luck and try hard
