Behind the wheel test?

Say if I'm exiting a parking lot, regardless of whether there are pedestrians near by, am I aloud to drive over the side walk right away or should I stop before then? Also about making a right turn from a general 4-way traffic street, can I drive over the pedestrian line right away if no one will obviously cross?

  1. Complete stop all the time and no driving over the curbs at all........................

  2. In most places. the law states that when you must come to a complete stop before the sidewalk before entering a roadway from a parking lot, driveway, or back lane. You should then "creep" slowly out onto the closest available lane going in your direction when safe to do so.

When making a right turn (or left turn) at any intersection, a driver must yield the way to any pedestrian in the crosswalk area.

By the way, a crosswalk exists at every intersection whether it's marked or not.

Also, the law usually states that pedestrians should obey the pedestrian lights at any intersection.

Pedestrians always have the right of way......that's the bottom line....

  3. You always want to stop before the sidewalk or the cross walk before going through them.  good luck.
