  1. I don't think London should try to top China. I want to believe that London will have more common sense not to spend so much on ceremonies. Olympics is not about showing off.

  2. GB has as much history and culture as China.

The problem is that it seems the Brits cannot get their act together. That 1M logo is c**p. The handover show? It tells me people wait at the bus stop for a long time, push over to get on the bus, litters (throw newspaper on the ground), and it rains a lot.

There are two ways that London can do it, and either way can be great. 1. Show the world its history and culture (knights in shining armor, renaissance, Shakespeare, theater, art, etc). 2. Just have fun, show the world London has the best sports funs.

If political correctness(that little Asian girl coming out of the bus) and pop/celebrity culture takes over, the 2012 Olympics is going to be boring.

  3. i think Beijing 2008 will definitely remain the best for a long time.

  4. I don't believe the London Games will top the Beijing Games.  I say that in regards to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

The athleticism and effort from the athletes will stay the same, but I doubt London can top what we, as well as millions, if not billions of people saw from Beijing.

  5. The Beijing Games is conservative and looking through the philosophy and culture of China. A complexity and very intellectual.

London Games might be rebellious and gearing teenage-image. Rock is immensely popular in British culture. It's informal but fun at the same time.

  6. in London things wont be government controlled like they were in China, things wont be so strict.  I think over all things will be better in London.  While the show might not be as exciting, the games over all will be better because the athletes will be more at ease.

  7. as long as the Venues are great it really don't matter, People base it on opening and closing ceremonies and how they look, those ceremonies are secondary to the actuall events , I think London will be fine

  8. noooooooooooooooooooo way theres no chance. the show china put on will be the best for a very very long time

  9. I think London will defiantly be better than Beijing.

  10. London doesn't have the wealth of beijing and the population is like 5% that of China! However British people have an incredible amount of pride and the energy from the fans will be unbelievable. I think that this will push the British athletes to win the Olympics of 2012.

    It will be amazing!
