  1. Yes, the 1936 Olympics -not that it reminded me of it when I was watching it-. PRC isn't a totalitarian regime though, that would be too harsh but it wouldn't be the country I'd choose for the Olympics to be held in. Shame, they chant "one world one dream" when they are out and out oppressing people.

    Edit: Labelling every oppresive regime or dictatorship "totalitarian" is not right, there were only two true totalitarian regimes in history: n**i Germany and Stalinist Soviet Union.

    you know strangely enough I didn't think of that particular regime while I watched them.. I was too taken in by how in time they were and wondering how many times they had to be hit on the back of their knees with bamboo canes to actually be that well in time......
