The William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes are to be held on Tuesday, 28th February at Newcastle raced over 480 metres flat. The six hounds participating need to go through the wire first in order to get entitled to the £118 prize money.
Ready for the race tonight is the lineup that comprises of Beijing Suzie, The Messinger, Rally On Katie, Mattys Girl, Outback Gideon and Droopys Mahers.
Beijing Suzie, Macintosh Dodger’s five-year-old black daughter out of b***h Well What, very recently struck the second victory of the season.
She won the Williamhill.Com Stakes on 2nd February at Newcastle over 480 metres. She clocked the distance in 29.67 seconds, cornering the 2/1 favourite of the race into the second position by ½ length’s difference.
Beijing Suzie’s most recent start and victory was in the HP 480 metres flat on 18th February at Newcastle. She was on the other side of the wire in 29.62 seconds while the 5/4 favourite for the race, Bringbackbertie, finished only third after
the winner.
In the remaining three races of the new season, Beijing Suzie came fourth twice and was sixth once. She has not been entered as a favourite in any race till yet but she does have high chances of winning tonight and posting the third win of the new season.
Outback Gideon, Indian Ruler’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Shifty, has been out four times during the new season and has struck victory in one of them.
He won the William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes on 11th February at Newcastle by covering the 480 metres track distance in 29.66 seconds, leading by two lengths. The 2/1 favourite of the race, Target Lucia, was the last hound to leave the track.
On 2nd February, he came third in a 480 metres race, a distance that Elwick Regatta, the winner, covered in 29.10 seconds, leading by seven lengths. The next time he came third was on 18th February in the William Hill supporting Racing
Post TV Stakes at Newcastle over 480 metres. He managed covering the distance in 29.60 seconds while the 7/4 favourite of the race won.
He was fifth in the debut start. Tonight he is aiming for the second victory of the season.
