Beijing olympics was great!!?

Don't you think The 2008 Olympics was superb? From the beginning to the end. I enjoyed the opening and closing ceremonies. I thought they were creative and magnificent. And the games just perfect. kudos to the Athletes and the chinese olympic organising team

The games were AMAZING.  especially since these were my first ever to go to.  wow the people were genuinely friendly and asked to take pictures with me all the time.  The opening ceremony seriously made you sit back and just drool.  The Olympic venues were beautiful, especially the water cube at night(just gorgeous).  Watching people like Usain Bolt, Micheal Phelps, Shawn Johnson & Nastia Liukin, and all these amazing people and athletes just makes you feel that maybe the world can be great.  The races and events were so historic and all the world records broken!! wow this will definitely be something i will remember my whole life and for a whole 2 weeks I forgot everything horrible that government did and every government did

Yes, it was a good show. To be honest I was half-expecting them to be a disaster with the human rights, pollution issues, etc. but I was pleasantly surprised.

They were fab...Especially as GB won loads of medals...and you also watch sports you don't normally watch...What's to watch now?Boring,boring football.....

Putting aside all the controversies surrounding it, yes the 2008 Olympics was very entertaining and memorable.

Yes... Beijing 2008 Olympics Was Awsome.... I am very sad its over and i wish it would run for longer... But It's The Way Its Supposed To Go...

I thought it was great. I think it definitely showed the creativity and discipline of Chinese people and their culture. I dislike the government, but I love Chinese people.

The games were very good.  The Chinese people are very good fans and hosts.  The Chinese gov't was their typical self but that was expected.

Couple of problems:

1.  The boxing scoring system was horrible.  The boxing is in ruins right now and its up to the IOC to fix it.  I repeatedly watched boxers land punches and get no points.

2.  Gymnastic age limit is not enforceable.  Either remove it or require a certain weight to compete, like 90 pounds.

3.  The Cuban Taekwondo fighter kicked a judge in the head out of anger.

Otherwise, the venues were great, the competitions were entertaining and inspiring.
