How does becoming a momber of a jury work, can you apply or do you get picked randomely.

  1. You get selected randomly to be in a jury pool.  (Most states pick up your name from voters registration lists or drivers license lists).

    You are selected for a particular jury by the lawyers for the two sides.  Out of a larger group, the lawyers each decide who they do not want on the jury.  The rest serve on the actual jury.


  2. Randomly.  I got a neat little letter in the mail when I had jury duty.  It told me when and where to report.
