Being Killed in Dream (what does it mean)?

I had this really odd dream where I was shooting a movie with legendary musician. All of a sudden he starts shooting people to death. I pretended he shot me and when I had the opportunity, I ran away. However, once he realized I was still alive, he began targeting me. It was like he was focus on killing me. I woke up before I knew how the dream ended. What does it mean?

Have you been considering a change of direction in some area of your life? This feels like you have been going along with what you know quite comfortably but have had an opportunity presented or will have to do something different. what you're doing now is the safer option as it is tried and tested, but the allure of something more interesting is beckoning. Common sense says don't do it, but safety isn't always best, sometimes we have to come out of our comfort zone to move forward. Keep your own counsel, you know what is best for you, other people's advice is good to listen to but ultimately go with what feels right, not what ought to be done. This could be work or relationships.

Death in dreams are symbolic of change and they can also represent that you are killing off certain traits in yourself that no longer suit you as you grow.

Most symbols in the dream represent our psyche.  The man shooting is your animus and he is killing off certain qualities in you that you no longer feel serve your purpose.

He targets you because he is your animus, and is angry due to 'you' not incorporating enough masculine traits into your personality.  For instance guns can represent the phallus as well as power.  You could start by not thinking with your emotions and think with logic.

I know this is all strange and probably doesn't make sense.  But, try to look into it.  I will post a few links into the reasoning of how it all works.

to dream of death does not mean that someone will actually die. it could indicate that something about you will die. a relationship,a job,a friendship,ect. that fact in your dream you ran away and the killer followed you indicates that you are running away from a problem that needs to be dealt with. if you don't turn and face it it will continue to follow you until you have no choice but to turn and face it. the legendary musician that started killing everyone did you recognize him?  he obviously stands for something or someone in your dream of great importance. that he followed you to try again to kill you again gives him great importance to your life. he stands for stands for someone in your life ...your father a brother,an uncle,a close cousin,a grandfather... are you having any problems with one of these people in your life right now? if so then you need to face that person and deal with what ever the problem is before it will go away.

To see a shooting in your dream, indicates that you have a set goal and know what you are aiming for in life. Your plans are right on target!

To dream that you are shot, represents a form of self-punishment that you may be unconsciously imposing on yourself.
