  1. I don't know what you did to make it a felony, but just stealing $68 worth of something won't do it.

  2. Yes

    Yes

    No

It  was not a felony,no matter what they told you.It is a misdemeanor.

You will be fined and may be put on a year of probation

Don't do illegal things anymore and you will turn out fine.

  3. You need an attorney.  Get one right away.  If you can't afford one, and you are being charged with a criminal offense, you can use the public defender, or depending on where you live, there might be other free legal help available.  If you don't know what's available, go to the prosecuting attorney's office and ask there.  You don't need to speak to the attorney, necessarily, the office staff can point you in the right direction.

I cannot emphasize to you enough the importance of having an attorney.

  4. It will only affect you if you let it.  You can petition to have your record expunged after you become 18.  You might have to go to court and they will likely sentence you to some community service.

  5. If the store presses charges, yes you will have to go to court.

You don't' say how old you are under 18, your parents will have to go with you to court.

You will most likely get probation, have to pay restitution if the item wasn't recovered and do community service of some sort.

First time offenders don't usually get to go to juvenile hall but you have to never do that sort of stuff again, they won't be so lenient the second time.

If its a minor crime your records should be sealed after your 21 years old in some states 18.
