Being an electrician or plummer?

Question

I'm thinking of learning a trade in either of the 2 and would like some peoples views.

How long would each take to become qualified, how much money would you start out on and what would be the potential earnings. Also the pros and cons of each.

Electrician ... I am running my own business .. i.e. decorating etc .. as hard as it is to find a good plumber .. with changes to legislation ..to do with Sellers package .. etc .. there is more scope for you as an electrician

Good electrician with all certificates .. can earn a fortune .. you can work for yourself as well as for somebody else ..

plumber, more work higher pay

always work for a plumber and well paid as long as you do not mind getting your hands dirty.
