Being made to go to college?

My parents are making me go to college and I am highly opposed to the idea (because i can't stand the idea of more school). Its been about a week and I am enjoying the social part of college (you know meeting new friends) but the classes are another story. I don't think i can handle the class load and hate the idea of more school. Seriously, what should I do?

  1. Stay with the wave and eventually you'll hit the beach.  It's a great opportunity and you'll discover many things about yourself.  Also, you can make your own decisions and not have to worry about if mom or dad opposes.

Don't worry, you'll find your niche.

  2. School can be overwhelming, especially right out of high school ( I mean for gods sake you want a break) You should get your college degree so that one day you can have a good job and make more money. School will fly by and you'll be glad you got your degree. Maybe consider dropping some of your classes so your load is not so heavy.

  3. Lighten your class load and / or take some classes that interest you.

    Grow up.

If you have the chance to attend college and waste it, you will regret it later.

I will quote one of my college professors - "Don't worry, Walmart always is hiring stockboys."

  4. The main thing here is "don't drop out." College can be allot of fun and you will meet a lot of new and interesting people that you'll have contact with for the next 40 years.

Until you get into it, drop a few classes and take a few that will keep your interest and that you'll enjoy. By the time the next semester comes, you'll be ready to take some more meaningful courses.
