Being out of shape, Kielduff Merc got revoked from Williamhill.com St Leger Semi-Final
After the quarter-finals of the Williamhill.com St Leger, the Wimbledon stadium is all set to open its trap doors for the warrior hounds in the semi-finals. Two semi-final shows are scheduled with six hounds to compete against each other for the purse in each. The contenders also have an opportunity to qualify for the finals.
Among the lot of hounds, Kielduff Merc, who has sustained third position in the previous shows of Williamhill.com St Leger heats and the quarter-finals, has been revoked from the semi-final race due to incompatibility.
The blue hound, trained by C T Lynch, made his place in the semi-final round, scheduled on the 27th September. However, he has lost the chance to win the purse in the semi-final, as well as the final's.
In the Williamhill.com St Leger First Round's Heat 5, Kielduff Merc got vanquished by 1 length, placed in the race as a 2/1 favourite.
He commenced through trap 4 and railed in to the middle of the track, but unfortunately got himself crowded at the first bend.
After getting through the hassle, he got bumped in at the third bend. The scenario became worse for the young hound and the most favourite managed to cover the 687 meters distance in 42.60 seconds.
In the second round which was the Williamhill.com St Leger's 3rd quater-final, he raced against four hounds. Placed in the race as a 5/1 ideal, the trap 4 racer got wide and later on he got crowded at the fifth bend.
Although Kielduff Merc again got whitewashed, he luckily got another chance and reserved his trap in the semi-finals.
For the Williamhill.com St Leger Semi-Finals, the three-year-old hound was placed in trap 4. He was expected to surge through the track, wearing black and white jacket, in urge to be the first one to get hold of the wire.
Due to his extraction from the semi-finals, only five dogs will chase the lure to win the purse while trap4 will remain vacant.
Trainer C T Lynch’s hound was all set for the big day, but his lame withdrawal from the Williamhill.com St Leger Semi-final has provided other hounds a chance to try their luck for the final draw.
