Being shaken while sleeping/dreaming?

What do you think causes this phenomenon-- being shaken while sleeping and nobody is around to do this to you? Although it has happened on some occasion or other, it never fails me to think back and wonder "what" caused this sensation. Thoughts? As always, thanks in advance fellow Yahoo'ers!

  1. There are times when the soul senses spirits near by it starts shaking your body from the inside out... So yes to people that pay attention will also feel this.......................................

  2. it is most likely an angel or god calling you to wake up in case somthing bad happen to you.

  3. I think this event which you call a phenomenon is just a result of a  stimulus reaction. Maybe when your brain capacity during your dream is no longer capable of holding the real-like events in your dreams (that is, just like when one's awake and reacts automatically to stimulating events), then that's the time your body responds to the overload through 'shaking'... I believe it doesn't only happen during a dreaming period but also even when one's awake. And that may be caused by a sudden reaction of a stimulus to either a stressful or a non-working system...( I say it the way it always happens to me...)
