Being threatened?

Question

A guy in the neighbourhood is threatening to beat or kill me if he sees me in the street. He is paranoid and drugged, really scaring me.

How can police help your safety in public?

i know what thats like.  this man came to my door a number of times with a knife and threatened to kill me and my family, he had a gun another time, ...

we called the police, and he got taken away and put in an asylum.  

i would just suggest that you call an authority and voice your concerns if you haven't already.  if its as serious as you say, don't hesitate to do something about it.  the sooner the better.

The police can't & won't protect you.

You need to carry your own self defense, be it a handgun, knife, or pepper spray.

If the "guy" made threats towards you, you can file a report with the police, and he will be arrested.  If he has drugs on him, even better, more charges!

Nothing, they can talk to him about it, you can call it in and they find drugs and he will get hauled away...but then that will blow your cover.

You should go to the police and they will take a report on the threats.  I was getting similar threats but from individuals in another state and I took it to the police along with all the written evidence I had of the threats and they made copies of the evidence and filled out a report, and I was also contacted by an  FBI agent the next day.  Your local police might be able to do more since this individual is in your city.
