Question:

Belfast night out?

I'm from Dublin but myself and a few mates are heading up to Belfast for a night out because no of us have ever been out up there. Where would be a good place for a group of 20 year old lads? Any bars that you would recommend before heading on to a club? Cheers

  1. As some of the other posters have said stick to the "Golden Mile" area Great Victoria Street etc and you will not go far wrong, have a great time when you are up here in the north.

  2. There are some great bars to head to before going to a club.  If you want traditional Irish Bars try Whites Tavern or Kelly Cellars....if you want something a bit more upmarket try The Apartment....

as for clubs...the M-Club is great fun....there are also lots of opportunitys for great late night food in that area for when you get out of the club.

I would stick to bars in the City Centre.  There is a development in the outskirts of town called the Odyssey Complex but its just your typical big box movie plex with a few bars and nightclubs inside. I'm not saying its not good but If this is you first time out in Belfast I would say to stick to the city as you'll get to see more of the place.

    Have fun!

  3. Best Clubs are the M-Club, which has a bar downstairs

    Shine at the Students Union

Or The Box in the Odyssey - Just be warned though the Box are very funny about who they let in and wont let big groups of guys in.

Hope you have a good time =]

  4. Aunty Annies along the Dublin Road is good, and then there is a club upstairs so you don't have to go very far. Down the road and round the cornver, beside the cinema is a club called the stiff kitten which is really popular.

If you're into rock music, just opposite this is 3 clubs/bars together which are good. These are the Limelight, Katey Daleys and Spring&Air. Sometimes they open all three and you can walk between them. The limelight plays rocky music and if you walk through to Spring it's more dancey.

However, a GREAT bar that I always reccommend to people coming up here is Cafe Vaudaville, right in the City Centre. It is really something to behold! Very lush. Lots of places to sit, alchoves, dance floor, balconies. They do a great range of drinks. You HAVE to see it! Just hop in a taxi and ask them to take you there. Amazing!

    HAVE A GREAT TIME!
