The Montpellier Herault star midfielder has reportedly agreed over a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the upcoming summer transfer window
The future of Moroccan international Younes Belhanda has been heavily discussed in almost every French newspaper. The young midfielder has been instrumental in Montpellier Herault’s push for their first Ligue 1 Championelle. As things stand, La Paillade
are on top of the Ligue 1 standings and lead Paris Saint-Germain by two points.
A few months back, Belhanda delivered a man of the match performance against PSG. Since then, the youngster has been linked with a move to Parc des Princes.
On his part, Belhanda is also seemingly keen on joining the Parisian giants and reports claim that the two parties had already started negotiations over a move to Ile when 2012 started.
Though Montpellier Herault president Loulou Nicollin is adamant that the player will leave the Mosson this summer, the Frenchman knows that a massive offer from PSG could turn out to be too good to refuse.
“He has two Ben Arfas in the left leg and two Nasris in the right leg.” This is how much Nicollin rates the player but the Montpellier supremo’s wishes could remain just wishes.
If Montpellier do qualify for the Champions League, Belhanda might consider staying at the club for at least one more season but sometimes, there are offers one cannot refuse and he knows it.
In recent weeks, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan have also been following the midfielder’s performances but it seems highly unlikely that a player would leave a club that will play in UCL next season for a club that will offer him only Europa League next season.
Though it still remains to be seen whether there is any truth regarding negotiations between Belhanda’s entourage with that of PSG’s the summer transfer window promises to be a busy and hectic one for Montpellier.
La Paillade will struggle to keep hold of the likes of Olivier Giroud, Yanga-Mbiwa and Belhanda. However, a good offer for Belhanda might be accepted as the club will then have the means to spend money on good players for next season.
