The Montpellier star may not rule out a move to Parc des Princes but has said that he is yet hear from the Qataris
Moroccan international Younes Belhanda has rapidly become one of the best players in Ligue 1. This campaign, the young midfielder has helped Montpellier Herault to a top three finish in the league.
As things stand, La Paillade are on top of the Ligue 1 standings and lead Paris Saint-Germain by 2 points with just five games left. And Belhanda’s performances for Rene Girard’s side have surprised and impressed countless clubs who are keen on making a
move for him when the summer transfer window opens.
Though Montpellier president Louis Nicollin wants to keep the player at the Mosson beyond the current campaign, the supremo might let go of the playmaker if a good offer comes up.
Though Belhanda has never given a clear sign regarding his future, the Moroccan international admits that he is attracted by the possibility of playing at PSG who he thinks, are heading in the right direction.
While talking to the media, the gifted playmaker said that he knows about PSG’s interest but revealed that there are other clubs as well who want to sign him.
“PSG, it could be a good challenge, a good springboard. It’s true that Paris is going to become, within three or four years, one of the biggest teams in Europe because they can afford and will bring the world. I hear that Paris speaks about me but there
are other clubs too.”
The midfielder then went on to say that he will wait to see if the Qataris do give him a call.
Despite his young age, Belhanda is far from having cold feel. The down-to-earth midfielder form Avignon says that he will be ready to take the risk of playing for a big European side.
“I am ready to take the risk. I am a competitor and there is only one competition that can make me move forward,” says Belhanda thus hinting that he will only go for a club that can offer him regular Champions League football.
