Belichick remains as introvert as ever
With the NFL season reaching its conclusion, the coach of New England Patriots, Bill Belichick has decided to further extend his period of silence.
After New York Giants emerged as the champions of the Superbowl event, the coach of their archrivals and opponents shied away from attention.
Even when outside the football ground and present in the golf course of Spyglass Hill at the Pebble Beach, Belichick is completely one of his own kinds when it comes to disclosure of information.
This can further be manifested from the fact that after signing a couple of autographs, he decided to depart from the golf course. "I'm just out here having fun," said Belichick.
Even after a commendable performance at the Pebble Beach event, he instead of propagating his golfing skills, shook hands with his companions, Ricky Barnes and Bud Cauley, and Alabama coach Nick Saban, and left.
According to pundits, his body movement on a scale of 1 to 10 can be provided with the rating of minus 4.
In addition to this, with the score of 90, he could only say in his defence that it is the performance of a player who has marginalised himself from the game since the last six months.
This is true, since the last time he teed off, was when Patriot training camp was about to get underway.
Furthermore, Belichick can also be pardoned on his performance on the basis of the complications offered by the golf course.
This was vindicated from the squirting of his shot at No.6 that drifted far right into the woods.
Throughout the course of his game session, the most prominent feature of attention was the number of times he has engaged in some conversation with other players.
He raised his arm after doing a mini fist pump after making a 10-footer on No.8. Along with this, he also chatted with Barnes for a short period of time.
Experts believe that the kind of non-verbose attitude Belichick is putting up is primarily a means of defence to cover up for the defeat his team has recently suffered at Indianapolis against the Giants. It is precisely why he has been avoiding media attention.
People will have to wait for the next Superbowl event to see whether Belichick will continue his introvert attitude or freely converse with the media.
