Believable plots?

If you were to judge fiction films on their plots alone, while forgetting about the quality of the acting, direction etc.,which film(s) would you vote for as being the most believable. (Please do not list film(s) based on true events.)

  2. Just seen 'Flashbacks of a Fool'. It was very believable.

  3. It's hard to come up with one absolute top one, there are so many (and even more that I haven't seen).

    And Coleridge did say that drama depends on the audience's willing suspension of disbelief.

    But OK, let's cut out any sci-fi and fantasy films which aren't supposed to be realistic.

    I'd say, then, that some very believable ones were Casablanca, High Noon, Grapes of Wrath, The Little Foxes, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Virgin and the Gypsy, Mr. Holland's Opus.
