I have trouble believing people let alone myself.

I just can't seem to believe what i say to myself its killing me! I mean sure I trust people, but If i say something like I believe in god or something then another voice in my head contradicts that thought and I get completely thrown off so what is with this?

  1. no offense to Lucid Hunter, but in my opinion, the 'conscience' thing is c**p. maybe it works for adults but it didn't apply to me as a teen. it's more your fear of conscience than your actual conscience talking. you want to be fair to all aspects and you're afraid of being yourself so you question everything you take a stand on in life. it's okay to have an opinion. it's okay to change your mind. that's what being a teen is all about: finding yourself. some teens, the rare few, don't have these feelings and live through high school with a bright and sunny outlook. the rest of us need a little help here and there. again, it's okay to look for someones help, someone who knows what he or she is talking about to you. like, a psychiatrist or psychologist. i think i've seen one floating around here somewhere but a personal meeting will give a better view into your life. don't get scared; i know a lot of people of anti-depressants. it's harder on your own but you know yourself better than I or your parents. Sometimes it takes a very specialized person to help you see the real you. i'm sorry if this is no good; i'm sure lucid hunter or somebody probably thinks i'm way off target:P

  2. Well, you dont trust ppl, you probably have been misguided by someone before or decieved by him, that's maybe the cause of the issue!

I dont know i do Question myself about God alot! that's normal.

Thinking all ppl are liars is serious, cuz these times there's noone to trust, just talk to ppl, i actually tell the ppl if they were lying in their faces, act normal!!

  3. It's Conscience. you obviously know what it is. so i'll brief it down. in conscience, a voice tells you what is good or bad. that's the no brainer. however, if you ignore it, then the conscience will bend to believe that what you did is right. so if you used to lie a lot, then your conscience says that lying was the right thing, so telling the truth is wrong. this must be most of what happened.

but the hardest thing to believe when you say it is that you truly believe in your religion to be true. this is the lifelong struggle with which faith is defined with. when you say "I believe in God", what you are saying is usually "i acknowledge God's Existance and His Power." but that isn't the point in faith. that is what is easy to say. but instead, say "I bleieve in God" in a way that means "I put all my trust in God, that He is capable of accomplishing the task." like a mother saying to a child "i believe in you!" she isn't saying "i know you exist." she is saying "i know you can do it!"

  4. Simply put, you are just being human. I am not sure, how many people in this world are completely honest and can really trust someone in their life with everything.
