after doing some research i have decided to visit the following places in belize. can anyone advise ./ recommend the best route after landing in belize city and how long it takes to get to each place. do i take planes or busses? since time is limited for me, i dont mind paying the extra for planes. any help is very much appreciated.

spend 2 or 3 days at caye caulker

spend 2 or 3days at ambergris caye

spend 1 day at a town in cayo district / western belize

spend 1 day at tikal.

then back to belize city for my return flight home.

i have from a saturday to the next sunday to fit all of this in.

  1. You need a travel agency to help you with arranging transportation and lodging in each of these areas.

If you still want to self plan space is limited here, maybe these websites can assist you.

    Good Luck)

  2. If you land in belize city early take the water taxi to ambergris caye saturday..if late take a small plane.. stay sunday and monday..tuesday morning take the water taxi to caye caulker..tuesday and wednesday at caye caulker..thursday plane ride to tikal..stay outside the park in the small village nearby...they can set up a shuttle into tikal for you (guatomalans are very nice)..friday ..all day into tikal..get there EARLY AND GET TO TEMPLE 4...it is so cool...bring  lot of film and good shoes...not sandels. as you will need them to climb the temples....everything is up in the jungle canopy...monkeys birds etc...if you dont see them ,,just ask someone will show you..leave saturday morning...(take the bus back for the adventure)  stay the last night in belize city and then you are by the airport to leave the next day....when in caye caulker  use carlos tours for snorkling...he is the best...make sure you do the shark -ray alley...so cool...have a great time....you dont need any travel agencys...or reservations..just ask for a place to stay and everyone will want to help you...and it is easier to use a backpack than a wheeled suitcase
