  1. WARNING!!! DO NOT install the program listed by another poster (Called insTALL.exe).  It has no description of where it comes from or what it is.

Depending on your router you might be able to setup time of day access.

You could change the password (WEP key) everyday at midnight but that would require everyone changing their key.

If you know what sites she goes to you could go into the router daily and block access to those sites between those hours (manually).

But is she going to complain to her Dad who is going to complain to you.  If he doesn't care is that going to be an issue? If you have a problem why not tell him it is interferring with what you are doing and she needs to stop.  Like you do downloads during the night and now they never finish.  Whatever.

  2. You could setup a password on the network so no one could access it without a password.

  3. If they plug in wired there's no way to disable their computer.

If it's wireless, you should have it secure (but maybe you have a reason not to, or they know the key).

This method isn't good security-wise becase it's easy to change your MAC address...but the average person won't know how to.

    1. You need to figure out the MAC address (physical address) of their computer.  See later in this for ways of finding it out.

    2. get on any computer connected to your Belkin router.  Go to http://192.168.2.1

    3. on the left go to the link called "MAC Address Control"

    4. log in when prompted (default is no password unless you changed it)

    5. Check the box for "deny entries in list" or "deny" and type the computer's MAC you want to block.

    6. Click "add" next to where you just typed the MAC address(some newer models you don't need to do this)

    7. Click "apply changes" and wait for it to restart.

The router will now refust to communicate with that computer wirelessly (wired will still work though)

How to find the MAC address:

This is harder.  The fail-safe way is to get hold of the computer and do this...

Use only the physical address for the "Wireless" connection.

    https://forms.swlaw.edu/swlawforms/findm...

If you can't do that for whatever reason, you can guess it from the DHCP table on the router.  By default, this remembers the IP address (what computers use to communicate) for every computer that's connected to the router at some point.

    1. get on any computer connected to your Belkin router.  Go to http://192.168.2.1

    2. on the left go to the link called "DHCP Client List"

    3. log in when prompted (default is no password unless you changed it)

    4. You probably don't understand what exactly you're looking at but I'll try to explain.  It has the columns for the IP-Address, Host-Name, and MAC-Address.

    5. Look at the "Host Name" column and hopefully one of them will obviously be the computer you want to block.

    6. write down the MAC address for that computer and add it to the blocked list as above.

The steps to check the DHCP Client list are also on page 45 of the owner's manual.

To unblock a computer follow those steps and just click "remove" instead of "add"...or on newer routers just backspace it out.
