  1. Yes the brands don't matter. If this doesn't answer your question  please be more specific.


  2. If the belkin adapter has an Ethernet port, and your cable modem has an Ethernet port.   You get a CAT6 cable and plug one end into the belkin adapter and the other end into the cable modem.
