Hi,
I am trying to get a "new" used computer online with the router and usb adapter listed in subject line. I have a "validating identity" issue and I have tried almost everything. I cannot seem to get it to either bypass this or to get it to validate the identity. I have gone into almost every tab, submenu, and settings page that you can imagine. I am getting very frustrated. I have another pc that is using the exact same setup and it is fine. I even matched the parameters etc. from the working computer to this new one I am trying to get online. Do you have any suggestions? I am so at wits end here and I am no expert yet not even close to novice with computers. Please help!! I need to do this soon so I can activate my copy of win XP. I know I could disassemble the computer and take it to a room with a phone line though that is alot of work. I would like to just get online wirelessly. It obviously is connecting to a point where it recognizes the belkin router it just hangs up in la la land when "verifiying identity".
