Belkin wireless help

i have a belkin router and usb card for my home network. it says on the box that i can get 300 Mbps out of them on 40 Mhz mode but i am only getting 150 Mbps. i have my router set to 20/40 Mhz but i cant figure out how to get my usb card to go to that setting....help?

  1. I think it means up to 300 Mbps if you have your network adapter set for full duplex.  In full duplex you will send at 150 and recieve at 150.  This should be done in the property settings for the device or check out the user manual.

    the numbers on any box are fantasy island

    overhead brings down the figures to 1/2 off the hop

    Plus with any distance the speed will drop

    if possible run an ethernet cable - its always faster and trouble free

    so much for marketing
