Bell Flashing Over The AT&T on the Palm Centro?

Okay so there is a bell flashing over the AT&T logo in the top left corner of my Palm Centro screen. What does it mean?? And how do I stop it??

It's an alert telling you that you have a new text, new voicemail, missed call, etc. To stop it, just tap it and select Clear All.
