Hi,

I'm running openSUSE 10.3 on a Dell Latitude D600 laptop. I want to connect wirelessly to my internet. I have bell sympatico with a 2WIRE modem. It uses WEP-open encryption for the wireless. My wireless card in my laptop is a Dell truemobile 1400. How can I connect wirelessly with openSUSE 10.3?

Thanks in advance.

  1. You will need to check the OpenSuse forums and Dell's site to see what the chip set is on that laptop and if there is a Linux driver for it.

Many wireless units use proprietary drivers whose the manufacturers do not make a Linux version.

If your wireless unit is one of those, you can search for some open source drivers or you can buy a wireless adapter that is supported
