Bella and edward in twilight?

i read it awhile ago, so i forgot...

when did they become officially bf/gf?

i know edward said they were because jessica was going to ask bella if they were...

but when was that?

like after their trip to seattle (or was it Port Angels?..Whatever its called)?

or was it after the meadow?

i can't remember! plus i don't own the book, i got it from the library.

i believe it was after Port Angels, they were dress shopping and then went to dinner and drove home together

After Port Angels, Edward and Bella hadn't kissed yet, but they had gone on a "date" (going out to dinner), and Edward had pretty much revealed that he was a vampire and his mind reading ability. Also he drove her (Bella) to school the next day, so I guess they could be counted as bf/gf after Port Angels. But the first time they kissed was on the way back from the meadow. So it could be either one, depending on your definition of bf/gf.

They got together after Edward sneaked into Bella's room for the night.  That night they were talking and things, and then Edward asked Bella if she was going to introduce him to Charlie.

I'm re-reading it right now... I'm right at the part where Edward suggests they go somewhere other than the meadow.  

I don't think they ever officially said it.  I think it was pretty much assumed by both of them after the meadow that they were together.  The only time they talked about being "bf/gf" is when Edward knows Jess is going to ask.
