Bella swan of twilight: most annoying character ever?

I'm half way through the 4th book and bell just p****s me off frankly.

She wont let Jacob get on with his life -which also hurts Edward -, always puts herself in danger or gets hurt in some way, moans consatntly and is generally just selfish and needy. Lol just wondered i people agreed...

I think that different people have different opinions on Bella based on there individual personalities.

Would the sweetest girl enjoy the s****. main character in a story she is reading?

It all depends. I have nothing against Bella. When you read a story in first person you have more of that persons opinion than others. If you agree with that characters opinion, you often enjoy the person and maybe the story better. If you disagree and just can't stand the character you get annoyed with s/he.

Sense we don't know much about her life before Forks, we don't know if she has always been so dependable on people. I think every person is selfish part of there lives and extremely un-selfish another. Same goes for other opposite traits. It gives them balance. I say at this point in her life, Bella is very much needy, and she knows it. Eventually, in her future or in her past, she was not like this.

yeah bella is the most vapid, shallow, annoying, whiny, incompetent heroine ever to hit the shelves .

it's awful the message that these books send to young girls! that you can't live without a man to lean on, if said man leaves you, then suicide is ok, and you should let people walk all over you!

p.s. i'm writing a book, and my heroine is a strong, capable young woman who makes mistakes, albeit is smart enough to try and fix them herself. maybe bella is good for something...she's shown me how NOT to write a heroine.

She's pretty high on the list, but then again, pretty much all of Meyer's characters are insanely irritating at one point or another. Or one book, or one half of a book...

Most annoying ever is Relena from Gundam Wing. Grr XP

Yeah, I agree with you. Bella Swan the uber annoying little wuss.

Although I don't find her annoying when she's with Jacob, cuz she doesn't act like a doormat.

To me Edward is the MOST ANNOYING character ever. Did Bella annoy you in Twilight, before she even met Edward? No, she didn't annoy me. If she never met Edward, she'd never be that annoying. I hate Edward.

she was so fickle when it came to jacob and edward. that was the most annoying of her personality.

the fact that they both stuck around even when she was flipflopping around with both of them, is one of the most annoying things in the book series.

Yeah, your right she is the most annoying. Everything you said about her is right, but I didn't even need to read past the first book to know she was annoying, moans constantly, selfish and needy. ...yeah, and puts her self in danger.
