Bellamy has come out and admitted that Team Great Britain’s Welsh section is trying to keep everyone’s feet on the ground as they are not dreaming of a gold medal win and taking everything at its merits.  The Liverpool striker
has been inspirational for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics as he has been playing alongside the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 for the national team which is representing the hosts.
Bellamy is just one of the three over-age players that Stuart Pearce has selected for the Team GB as the former Manchester City manager opted to leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 out of the squad altogether. The hosts lost their warm up fixture
against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 but since then they have been pretty impressive and now they are set to take on South Korea in their next encounter, a match that will be tough for the veteran superstars in the Team GB squad.
Bellamy who plays for Liverpool in the English Premier League earlier on conceded that he was relieved to see that he wasn’t booed at Old Trafford when playing for Team GB. In fact the Welshman received a standing ovation from
the supporters of the national team which gave him additional confidence. When Bellamy was asked in a recent interview about thinking of winning gold with the host team.
He said, "That's you English! That is what you lot do! I'm Welsh! I'm just grateful to be involved. We are not going to win it. We aren't going to come first, second, third! We are just trying to beat South Korea. You can't look
too far ahead. You just can't because anything can happen.”
The Liverpool man added, "Being Welsh has taught me that, with two minutes to go, anything can happen. I've come into this with a completely wider look. Now it is just pure and simple - let's have a go and enjoy it. We are brilliant
at finding negatives. That is our culture. That is what we want.”
