Belle Vue: BGRF Owners Bonus Series Final – Preview (Part 1)
The Belle Vue greyhound racing track is set to host BGRF Owners Bonus Series Final event on Thursday, January 26. It will be a Grade A6 race of 470m Flat category. The total prize money of the high-stakes contest is £500.
Six skilled greyhounds including Grooverider, Emporio Wren, Swift Match, Home Robbie, Jenny Sad Eyes and Pennys Bruce will compete for the title.
Following are the key skills and career records of each of the six runners. These stats will help in figuring out predictions about the race.
Grooverider
Trained by J Llewellin, the fawn and white b***h will break from trap 1. Starting her career on June 1, 2009, the veteran hound has a long list of races to her credit. In the beginning of her career, she posed to be a big fighter and brought home some
glaring victories, but her long lean patch followed soon.
After a gap of 12 races, she suddenly got in form, and won three consecutive contests in November, 2009. Overall, the b***h’s win ratio has been very low. Her second last success came again after an intermission of a dozen of races.
This statistical analysis suggests that, Grooverider, will hardly be able to unleash winning momentum in tomorrow’s event. Bred by Grandad Pat & Lissycasey Jem, she was whelped on February 10, 2008.
Emporio Wren
Emporio Wren, trained by R Fielding, will break from trap 2 to run for the ace title. The black b***h had her maiden race on February 10, 2010. During almost two years in her career, she has achieved just 16 victories. At the initial stages of her
career, she was off target, winning her first race after competing in a dozen of events.
Since August 2011, the b***h has won just two races. Her inconsistency and lean patches are enough to assume that she too is not going to make any impact in the coming event.
Swift Match
Swift Match is set to break from trap 3 for the awe-inspiring clash. Trained by B Heaton, the black dog staged his debut on February 27, 2010, winning his first couple of races with excellent margins. In the midst of his career, he went through some
severe lean patches, but the dashing dog did not give up, and regained momentum finally.
During the last couple of months, he performed well. However, he has been a little off-coloured since the dawn of 2012. His last victory came five races ago. Bred by Hades Rocket & Heroes Last Lass, he was whelped in August, 2008.
The dog’s career snapshot is evident of his inherent talent, but in a bid to win tomorrow’s race, he will have to apply utmost effort, and unleash immense fighting spirit. However, his success chances cannot be ruled out at all. If not a favourite,
he will be a potential competitor against other five hounds of the race. His trainer is somewhat hopeful of his win.
