Belle Vue: BGRF Owners Bonus Series Final – Preview (Part 2)
After presenting a brief statistical overview of the three greyhounds named as Grooverider, Emporio Wren and Swift Match in Part 1 of this article, we continue with other three runners in Part 2.
Home Robbie
Trained by J B Thompson, Home Robbie started his career on March 15, 2011. The blue dog won his first four races in a row with huge margins. This early success streak established the hound as the favourite racer for the bettors, who invested heavily
on him afterwards.
With his unnerved stamina, the dog kept on bagging victories with regular intervals throughout his career. However, he has been somewhat off-tracked recently. His last victory came after an interval of 13 races.
The recent stats of the dog does not make him the favourite for his next race, but it will be illogical to totally oust him from the scene as he is prone to make strong comeback’s at any time. The same may happen tomorrow. So it is predicted that,
Home Robbie and Swift Match will have tough mutual competition. The dog was whelped in March, 2009.
Jenny Sad Eyes
Whelped in January 2008, Jenny Sad Eyes commenced her career on October 3, 2009. The fawn b***h hasn’t been consistent enough throughout her career. Though the veteran hound has not made hat-tricks or set an elongated winning streak, but she had managed
to avert any lean patch since her debut.
The brilliant b***h ended up with the top spot in her last race. This success came after 8 defeats, but it helped the runner to get tuned up for the final showdown. It is expected that Jenny Sad Eyes will run tomorrow with a favourite tag and make
a positive impact. She will definitely be a potential competitor of Swift Match and Home Robbie, but she has more chances to win the event provided she displays her due performance.
Bred by Westmead Joe & Droopys Chelsea, the b***h was whelped on January 4, 2008.
Pennys Bruce
Pennys Bruce will break from trap 6 tomorrow. Trained by H Adamson, the black dog made his debut on August 12, 2010. Just a month after starting his career, he badly suffered from a severe lean patch which continued till 22 races. He won just one event
during that period of time. Since March 2011 till July 16, the dog ran for 19 times, but won just once.
Since the last couple of months, Penny Bruce has not won a single race. These stats make the dog a weak contender for the BGRF Owners Bonus Series title. The son of Honcho Classic was whelped in November, 2007.
Conclusion
After taking a keen look on all of the six hounds, who are all ready for tomorrows’ high-profile contest, it is concluded that the real battle for the title will take place among Swift Match, Home Robbie and Jenny Sad Eyes with the last one being favourite
to win the event.
