Bells sound, the Voltswagon starts, but stops when you release the key.

This Voltswagon bells sound and the car starts , but stops running like the door ajar, or seatbelt is keeping the car from running. ?

If it is a 2000 or newer, It's sound like the car is in what is called "Imobilizer Mode". This happens when the key is not programmed to the car. If this is the case there will be a yellow light on the instrument cluster lit up. Try one of your other keys, if you have any. If it still doesn't work the vehicle will need to towed to a VW dealership and re-programmed.
