  1. im 14 and have my belly button pierced. it hurt A LOT but it was quick, u shouldnt go in a pool or ocean for 2 mnths. if u do wear a waterproof bandage over it. the ppl at the place will inform u and be very helpful

  2. there is a tattoo category if you want more help, it's in the beauty and style section! - under skin

anyway i have both and no they don't hurt as much as people say!

the healing time is different for everyone, my belly button took a year (to dry completely and stop weeping) and my tattoo took just over a week! - also on my upper back/shoulder, left side.

if your in America i cant help you with things to put on your tattoo/piercing as i only know UK brands!

right step by step belly piercing:

you go in to the shop/parlor tell them what you want (you might have to book in advanced) they'll ask you if yo have blood clotting problems or any diseases, then they'll wash they're hands, wash your belly button, take a needle out of it's packet, put a clamp on your belly button (it's like a BBQ tongs), then they push the needle through,- followed by the jewelery! (usually longer than your final one to allow for swelling).

you weight 6 weeks cleaning it all the time then you can take the old jewelery out and replace it with a smaller one.

tattoo - you go to the shop (again you'll probably have to book in advanced) they'll lie you down, shave where the tattoo will go (even tiny, tiny hair clogs up the tattoo machine) then take a new needle out of it's packet and put it into the machine, they'll set up all the ink that they'll use then put a stencil where the tattoo will go, (unless the tattooist is doing it free hand)  then away he'll go! most tattooists do the outline first then go back and do the color.

he'll advise you on how to care for your new tattoo and will probably be selling care products in the shop!

if you want anymore help e-mail me! good luck! x

  3. I had my belly button pierced about a month ago. No, it definitely does NOT hurt as much as people say it does. And the healing process is simple, just as long as you keep it cleaned. Just take long deep breaths when you're getting it done, and when it's finished drink something with sugar in it so that you don't faint or anything.

    Good luck!

Ps - A day after it was done, I went swimming in a lake and it's still fine, and I have really sensitive skin. You'll be fine!

  4. you should do some medical research on tats before getting one.

60% of females who get tattoos later regret them.

Also a lot of tattoo ink contains heavy metals which can lead to cancer years later.

Also did you know guys refer to a tattoo on a girl as a "Tramp Stamp".

Just a little info to mull over.
