someone told me this about belly button piercing....! is it true?

when you sit down or bend over and you see where your naval is in relation to your belly creases, If your belly button is NOT in a crease - good. If you crease at your naval, you are at an increased risk for constant infections.

true not true?

  1. YES it is very true.

"Though most people are well suited for a navel piercing, there is one major exception: if the point your torso creases at runs through the navel (or close enough to put pressure on your jewelry when you bend over) you should NOT use a ring and in fact will probably be best off NOT getting this piercing at all. "

If its a small crease, it'll be okay. But if its very deep, dont get it.

Go in, and ask your piercer for further more advice.

  2. TRUE. but not infections; rejection. because if your navel moves with your body, there is a higher chnace of rejection.

  3. true

  4. no!

    thats so not true,

    don't worry,

the only way you can actually get an infection is neglect of not cleaning, constantly playing around with it without clean hands, etc.

  5. Almost all the people with naval piercing get infection due to the region it's in,contact with almost everything so you would be better with ear piercing or no piercing. It's a fad I thought would have died out long ago. Do you have a chain attached to it?

  6. Hey, I've got my belly button pierced for a looonng time now, and have never had any infections!

The only way to get an infection is like any other peircing, touching with dirty hands, ect ect ..

Dont worry, this is NOT true :)

  7. i have no idea who has told you this but they know nothing about piercings. i have my navel pierced twice amongst many others, my navel is right in my belly crease! infections start when you fail to keep a new piercing clean, or touch it too much during healing. as long as you follow your piercers advice, and clan it several times a day with salt rinse and don't touch it other than for cleaning, and with ultra clean hands then you will be fine. given that your navel can gather dirt you need to take a q-tip and clean the whole area right out to!

i hope you love it when its done!
