Belly button ring closed while cleaning...?

Question

i've had my belly button pierced 8 months and i took it out to clean because it looked a little infected and hurt

and i went to put it back in seriously 5 mins later and it wont go thru now

what happend????

and what should i do

You are possibly putting it through the wrong way. When I myself removed my navel piercing before it was completely healed and tried to put it back in with in mins I was unable to and had a hard time which consist in a bad infection, eventually I shoved it in which tear the healing tissue within it. Eventually with extra close care and leaving the jewelry in till it was completely healed my piercing turned out fine. If you are able to go back to your piercer seek help from them or soak the area w/ sea salt water and gently try to slide the jewelry in slowly. Good Luck.

Go back to the piercer who did your navel,and have them take a look at it.

it must not have been healed =/ was this the first time youve ever changed it since you had it done, or have you changed it before and messed with it alot? maybe you changed it to a metal that reacted with your skin, and made it irritated, and when you took the jewelry out, it closed at the first opportunity. who knows? go to your piercer and tell him. good luck i hope everything will be okay =]
