  1. The only place I know of where you can get them is from Delilah:

However, I really don't think they are necessary.  It does make it more difficult to use the hips by putting more weight on them but why not just keep practicing with a regular hip belt or scarf.  Personally after all the money you would have to pay for the product and the shipping I would just find someone who sews and ask them to make it for you.  It's just a piece of cloth with sand sewn inside of it, with a clasp and velcro.  In all my years I've never used one nor been tempted to.

  2. i am sorry to tell you this , but there is no such thing for belly dancing.  the only true apparatus used in this form of dance are zills. these are used for the rhythm. the way to improve the waistline is to rotate the hips. do not move any other part of the body. just pretend you are holding two glasses of water on your shoulders and move just the lower part of your body.~my e-mail is  colbuffordrlee@yahoo.com    anytime and we will discuss further!!!!!!!!!!

  3. The only source that I am aware of is Delilah, which Cassandra has already said.  I agree with Cassandra, you could easily make one yourself, or have one made.  I don't use one and I don't know any dancers who use one of these weight belts.

Bufford... i am sorry to tell you this, but there IS such a thing for belly dancing.  It is used for practicing, not performing.
